Julian Lewis News: Not starting QB for Week 1

Lewis will not be the Buffaloes' starting quarterback for their upcoming game Friday against Georgia Tech, Brian Howell of the Boulder Daily Camera reports.

After a long and highly publicized battle, Kaidon Salter will be the 2025 Buffaloes' starting quarterback for their first game. According to their head coach Deion Sanders, he hopes that Lewis will be able to log some action Friday. It is in few opportunities where Lewis will have to shine to possibly get a better role for later games. But barring a blowout or Salter struggling, Lewis' upside is projected to be highly limited in Week 1.
