Julian Lewis News: Officially named starter

Head coach Deion Sanders confirmed that Lewis will serve as Colorado's starting quarterback ahead of Saturday's game against West Virginia, Matt Zenitz of CBSSports.com reports.

It was previously reported that Lewis would be taking over the reins for Colorado in Week 11 after the true freshman turned in a solid outing last week in relief of Kaidon Salter. Lewis threw for 121 yards and a touchdown. Considering his pedigree as a recruit and the Buffaloes' lack of quality alternative options, expect Lewis to be under center for the remainder of the season.
