Kaidon Salter News: Could still start after all

Salter could still potentially start for Colorado in Week 3 versus Houston after head coach Deion Sanders rebuked a report saying Ryan Staub would be the starter against the Cougars, per David Ubben of The Athletic.

ESPN reported that Staub would be the starter after he replaced Salter in Colorado's Week 2 win over Delaware, tossing for two touchdowns and 157 yards while completing 70 percent of his passes. Sanders then dismissed that report, but did indicate the Staub is taking the majority of QB1 reps in practice this week for the Buffaloes. Thus, it's not certain Staub will start and Salter will ride the bench, but it certainly appears to be trending in that direction.
