Kenny Minchey News: Given slight edge for starting spot

Minchey has a slight edge over fellow quarterback CJ Carr for the starting job heading into the 2025 season, per Pete Nakos of On3.com.

Minchey and Carr have been locked in a position battle for the starting role throughout the offseason but it appears Minchey may be edging out his fellow signal caller. The 6-foot-2 sophomore has more familiarity within the Notre Dame offense than the freshman Carr and has been taking more first-team reps as of late, though Carr reportedly still has time to make an impact on the position battle.
