Connington battled an undisclosed injury during Michigan State's fall camp, Stephen Brooks of 247Sports.com reports.

Connington is a redshirt freshman trying to establish himself as Michigan State's primary placekicker. Tarik Ahmetbasic (undisclosed) unavailable for most of fall camp would have helped Connington out had he also not been physically affected by injury.
