Parrish ran 12 times for 52 yards and caught six passes for 58 yards and a touchdown versus Sam Houston on Saturday.

Parrish, a freshman, did not get much buzz during the offseason. He was buried down the depth chart. Then, in this season-opening conference game, Parrish led all running backs in touches, as well as rushing yards. That definitely changes the perception of the young back.
