Maverick McIvor News: Stellar FBS debut
McIvor went 33-for-51 for 401 yards and three touchdowns against Sam Houston on Saturday. He also ran for seven yards and a touchdown.
As Western Kentucky did a few years ago with Zach Kittley and Bailey Zappe, the team has ported over a coordinator and a quarterback from a high-powered FCS offense. McIvor was a star at Abilene Christian last season, and he's hit the ground running as an FBS starter. This was a Week 0 conference win as well, which is even more encouraging for McIvor.
