Mel Brown News: Second in rushing in OT defeat

Brown collected 72 yards on only five attempts on the ground and a touchdown as UConn fell 27-20 in overtime to Syracuse on Saturday.

For the second game in a row, Brown was the second option in running to only Cam Edwards. Brown has 155 yards rushing on 14 carries in the first two games on the season. He's on track to top his career best season that came in 2023 for Gardner-Webb when he registered 646 rushing yards. The obvious issue is that Edwards is ahead of him in the pecking order.
