Kern has committed to California, On3.com reports.

Primarily a punter for Texas, Kern may be a California kicker if On3's announcement insinuation is to be believed. He played a big role for the Longhorns' special teams, and there is a good chance that will continue at Cal, even if his role has not been clearly stated.
