Michael Van Buren Injury: Injures throwing hand
Van Buren injured his throwing hand, per Cory Diaz of the Lafayette Daily Advisor.
Van Buren was reportedly spotted wearing a splint on his right hand at LSU's 16th practice of fall camp, one that covered his index and middle fingers. He dressed for practice but didn't participate in any throwing drills open to observation by the media. He's firmly locked into the backup role behind one of the nation's top returning QBs in Garrett Nussmeier, but if he isn't available for the start of the season, freshman Colin Hurley could assume that role.
