Mike Matthews News: Set for No. 1 role?
Williams is being touted as the "leader" among wide receivers ahead of the start of the new season and could operate as the No. 1 wideout in the early stages of the season, Patrick Brown of 247Sports.com.
The Vols underwent several changes in their receiving group compared to last season. They lost Bru McCoy, Dont'e Thornton and Squirrel White, while Braylon Staley and Chris Brazzell emerged as some of the replacements. Williams is expected to be the leader of that group, though, especially due to his familiarity with the offensive scheme and the program. Matthews hauled in seven passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns last season.
