Re'Shaun Sanford Injury: Out for opener

Sanford (undisclosed) is out for Thursday's game versus Stephen F. Austin, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Sanford, who was listed as a co-starter at running back for Thursday's matchup, will miss the game due to an undisclosed injury. Dean Connors and J'Marion Burnette are set to lead the Cougars' backfield in the opener. Sanford's next chance to suit up is next Saturday at Rice.
