Robby Ashford News: Available but won't start

Ashford (thumb) will be available but will not start in Saturday's game versus SMU, Jordan Guskey of The Topeka Capital-Journal reports.

Ashford is still recovering from his thumb injury, so Deshawn Purdie will start at quarterback despite Ashford being available. Ashford will look to return to the starting lineup next Saturday at Florida State.
