Robby Ashford News: Named starting quarterback

Ashford will serve as Wake Forest's starting quarterback, per On3.com.

Ashford won the starting role after having been competing with Deshawn Purdie and Conor O'Neil throughout the summer. Ashford played two seasons at Auburn before transferring to South Carolina ahead of last season where he completed 23 of 32 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns in addition to carrying the ball 41 times for 227 yards and two touchdowns in eight games.
