Ryan Browne News: Officially named starter

Browne has been named the starter for Purdue's season opener against Ball State, per On3.com.

Browne has been viewed as the frontrunner for the starting gig for the last week or so, so this news doesn't exactly come as a surprise. The 6-foot-4 signal caller previously left the Boilermakers and committed to North Carolina before reversing his decision and returning to West Lafayette in the spring. Browne appeared in eight games for Purdue in 2024, throwing for 532 yards and four touchdowns to two interceptions.
