Ryan Otton Injury: Retiring from football
Head coach Jedd Fisch revealed that Otton (undisclosed) has made the decision to medically retire from football, per Chris Fetters of 247Sports.com.
Fisch announced in his recent press conference that Otton will retire from football due to injuries. The 6-foot-6 tight end struggled through the 2024 season, dealing with a number of ailments while failing to see the field, and was once again recovering from injury during spring practice, so this decision didn't exactly come out of nowhere. With Otton being further down on the tight end depth chart, Washington's pecking order at the spot doesn't appear to change too much with the news.
