Sire Gaines News: Held in check Saturday

Gaines compiled seven carries for 39 yards and caught his only target for negative two yards during Saturday's 30-7 loss against Fresno State.

It was a quiet day for the Broncos' offense overall, as Gaines was held out of the end zone after scoring five touchdowns in his previous three games. However, Boise State could be forced to lean more on its running game down the stretch with quarterback Maddux Madsen (ankle) likely sidelined for a while. Through nine games, Gaines has rushed for 474 yards on 99 carries with six total touchdowns.
