Steve Chavez-Soto News: Held in check vs. Wyoming

Chavez-Soto posted 12 carries for 25 yards during Saturday's 35-28 loss against Wyoming.

Chavez-Soto wound up out-carrying Lamar Radcliffe 12-to-7 on Saturday, though he wasn't able to find much room to run after rushing for 71 yards and two scores last week against New Mexico. Still, it was encouraging to see Chavez-Soto lead the Spartans in carries in just his second collegiate game. The freshman should continue to see steady volume with Jabari Bates (undisclosed) out for the year and Floyd Chalk entering the transfer portal.
