Ale could be an option at quarterback for Troy after starter Goose Crowder underwent shoulder surgery, per Creg Stephenson of AL.com.

Ale, a transfer from Houston, has yet to play this season. When Crowder went down, Tucker Kilcrease was the one who replaced him, but he struggled, tossing for just 65 yards and an interception while completing 10-of-29 passes. All options appear to be on the table for Troy, and it could remain largely a mystery who the team will deploy under center in Week 4 versus Buffalo.
