Will Hammond News: Starting quarterback for Week 8

Even though Behren Morton (leg) is available, it is only for an emergency situation, so Hammond will serve as Texas Tech's starting quarterback Saturday. The start is Hammond's second as a collegiate athlete, and he will look to build on what has been a solid second season despite his reserve role. 2025 features his 411 passing yards, 4-2 TD-INT ratio and four rushing touchdowns.
