Nixon accrued nine rushes for 33 yards and caught 2 of 3 targets for 29 yards during Saturday's 45-26 defeat against Tennessee.

Nixon served as the backup to Yasin Willis, handling nine carries and being the only tailback other than Willis to log multiple rushing attempts. Nixon appeared in three games last season with Syracuse, logging 19 carries for 76 yards while catching four passes for 44 yards. He didn't score a touchdown.
