Pyron lost the Jaguars' quarterback battle to Bishop Davenport, Creg Stephenson of AL.com reports.

Pyron was engaged in a quarterback battle with Bishop Davenport throughout camp, but the presumption was that Davenport would end up with the job. That came to fruition and now Pyron will backup his teammate to start the season.
