Zach Wilcke News: Loses out to Harrell

Wilcke lost Charlotte's quarterback competition to Conner Harrell, per Pete Thamel of ESPN.com.

Wilcke was considered a long shot to win the job, especially with Harell's experience at the Power Four level. Wilcke hasn't played since 2022 with Southern Mississippi, when he threw for 1,163 yards, nine touchdowns and nine interceptions while completing 57.4 percent of his passes.
