Gavin Escobar

Escobar came out of nowhere last year as a redshirt freshman to finish with 323 yards and four touchdowns. With the exit of star wideouts Vincent Brown and DeMarco Sampson from San Diego State, Escobar should get an audition for a much bigger role in 2011. It's tough to guess whether he'll be able to capitalize on that opportunity, as it's possible that his numbers last year were the result of defenses paying so much attention to Brown and Sampson. But either way, Escobar will be in a good position to emerge as one of the nation's most productive tight ends.
