Brandon Mitchell

Mitchell will enroll at North Carolina State, and be immediately eligible to play his final season in Raleigh. He’s 6-foot-4, 239 pounds and after spending some time at wide receiver last season, his dual threat abilities are obvious. He’s the perfect fit for new head coach Dave Doeren’s high speed, spread attack. He simply needs to get up to speed with the playbook. He’ll compete with Colorado State transfer Pete Thomas for the starting job, but it’s highly unlikely he’s transferring to sit on the bench. Northern Illinois quarterbacks have rushed for 4,030 yards in the past three seasons under Doeren; Mitchell has tremendous sleeper potential if he’s anointed the team’s starter.
