Garrison carried two times for 63 yards and a touchdown Saturday as Fresno State fell to Air Force 42-14 on the road in Colorado Springs.

ANALYSIS
Garrison produced a season-best for rushing yards (63) and recorded his first trip to the end zone since 2012 in Saturday's contest, but remained unheard from following just two first quarter carries. The senior exits Week 8 having combined for a mere 33 carries, 145 yards and a touchdown this season and posing no serious threat to the fantasy value of Marteze Waller heading into a bye for Fresno State in Week 9.

Garrison was hobbled by a leg injury in 2012, and yet he still managed to average 4.5 yards per carry. He seems to be more talented than Andrew Buie when healthy, so if Garrison is recovered he's a good bet to reclaim the role as West Virginia's top runner.

Garrison's status heading into fall is a bit shaky due to a knee injury he suffered at the end of the 2011 season, but he is quite intriguing as a fantasy option if he's close to full health. He emerged from obscurity last year to easily prove himself as West Virginia's best running back, running for 742 yards (5.5 YPC) and six touchdowns while adding 201 yards on 24 catches. He has starting fantasy potential in most or all formats.
