Out for season
September 27, 2016
Kroll (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, Central Michigan broadcaster Adam Jaska reports.
ANALYSIS
Kroll's loss is a huge one for the Chippewas as he had led the team in receiving last season and was on his way to another quality campaign in 2016. He hauled in 13 receptions for 214 yards (16.5 YPR) and one touchdown through three and a half games before leaving Saturday's game with a significant knee injury. Wide receiver Eric Cooper was also lost for the season Saturday, which leaves Central Michigan with a depth problem out wide. Look for the Chippewas to lean even more heavily on Corey Willis moving forward while Mark Chapman could ascend to a bigger role as well.

2016 Fantasy Outlook
Kroll is back for another season after getting granted an extra year of eligibility, and his return gives Central Michigan a loaded receiver corps. That's great news for the Chippewas, but it highlights the limits of Kroll's statistical upside. After catching 61 passes for 866 yards and four touchdowns last year, it's hard to imagine much improvement outside of perhaps a few additional touchdowns. The presences of Corey Willis, Mark Chapman and Anthony Rice are simply too much to grant Kroll a big target volume.
