Matt Scott threw for over 3,600 yards and 27 touchdowns last season as Arizona had the third-best passing offense in the Pac 12 behind Washington State and Oregon State. However, with Scott now a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, coach Rich Rodriguez has a decision to make at the quarterback position. Denker left spring practice as the slight favorite to start week one, but Rodriguez indicated he won’t name a starter until the fall - and he did not rule out a platoon situation throughout the season. Regardless, whoever starts at quarterback is not likely to replicate the big numbers put up by Scott and Nick Foles in recent years.
