Pittsburgh coach Pat Narduzzi said last week that Town doesn't intend to use his final season of collegiate eligibility after leaving the Panthers program, Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
A blue-chip recruit from the Class of 2015, Town committed to USC coming out of high school, only to transfer to Arkansas before his true freshman campaign began. After losing out on the starting gig at Arkansas the following fall, Town went to junior college for a season before returning to the FBS level at Pittsburgh. As a redshirt junior, Town was unable to beat out Kenny Pickett for the starting role in 2018, then dropped to third on the depth chart behind Jeff George Jr. Narduzzi noted that Town only has to complete a few more classes to complete his undergraduate degree at Pittsburgh, but it doesn't sound like Town will pursue his options at another program as a graduate transfer in 2019.
