Oku had a big season in 2012, scoring 17 touchdowns while running for 1,080 yards in 13 games. The Tennessee transfer should remain a serviceable fantasy option in 2013, but it's best to expect a bit of a downgrade in his value. Coach Gus Malzahn has left Arkansas State for Auburn, and it's unclear whether new coach Bryan Harsin will provide Oku with as many opportunities as Malzahn did, both in terms of carry count and effectiveness on offense. Malzahn appears to be one of college football's brightest offensive coaches, so Arkansas State might not be making as many red zone visits without Malzahn around.

Oku joins Arkansas State in 2012 after transferring out of Tennessee, where he was previously a promising but enigmatic recruit. If he can overtake Frankie Jackson and Sirgregory Thornton on the depth chart, Oku becomes a must-own in Sun Belt-only leagues while taking on nationwide sleeper status.

Oku was a major recruit from last year who did reasonably well in limited time as a freshman. He ran for 94 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, but that's hardly exceptional. Tauren Poole will probably get a bunch of carries, too, so don't expect Oku to be a workhorse this year. He holds decent value in SEC-only leagues.
