Although he was one of the MAC's top receivers just two years ago, Wilson figures to fall behind sophomores Titus Davis and Courtney Williams in the box score in 2012. Wilson finished second on the team in receiving yards last season (526), but acted as more of a possession receiver (11 yards per catch) while Davis and Williams combined for 13 touchdowns while averaging over 18 yards per catch. Wilson should remain relevant in MAC-only leagues, but he lacks the big-play ability necessary to make an impact outside of them, especially with two surging talents like Davis and Williams around.
Wilson was excellent as a sophomore last year, finishing with 1,232 yards from scrimmage and six touchdowns in 12 games. Given that junior quarterback Ryan Radcliff is back, Wilson should be able to carry last year’s success into 2011. He’d be ranked a bit higher, but Wilson seems like a possession specialist who might not be much of a threat to find the end zone.
Wilson caught 25 passes for 226 for two touchdowns as a freshman last year, and he should get more work in 2010 with top wideouts Antonio Brown and Bryan Anderson gone from town. He's worth monitoring in MAC-only leagues.
