Quezada is a BYU transfer who will compete with Marteze Waller for the chance to replace Robbie Rouse as Fresno's workhorse runner. It seems unlikely that either will run away with the competition, so a workload split could be ahead.
Previously expected to compete for the starting running back role at BYU, Quezada unexpectedly left the program in the summer, leaving only Michael Alisa as a proven runner for the Cougars.
J.J. Di Luigi is still probably the top guy, but Quezada proved last year that he'll get his carries in the BYU backfield, too, going forward. Quezada's value would skyrocket if Di Luigi misses any time with injury, but unless that happens, his utility might be limited to deep leagues.
Quezada was a solid recent recruit who BYU will probably lean on in a change of pace role in an attempt to replace Harvey Unga. He's worth keeping an eye on in MWC-only leagues.
