USC: Marqise Lee Will Enter NFL Draft
WRUSC
January 3, 2014
Lee has elected to skip his senior season at USC and enter the NFL Draft, CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Lee was limited in 2013 by knee and shoulder injuries throughout the season along with some instability in the coaching staff. He finished the season with 57 receptions for 791 yards and had four touchdowns receiving. He entered the season as a highly-regarded NFL prospect and he still carries an impressive skill set heading to the next level. He is currently projected as a first-round selection.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2012
2013
Robert Woods might be a bigger name, but Lee could be the top USC receiver in 2012. He was exceptional as a true freshman last year, finishing with 73 catches for 1,143 yards and 11 touchdowns, including 40 catches for 609 yards and six touchdowns in the final four weeks of the year. With so much attention on Woods, Lee will almost certainly carry his momentum into 2012 and get off to a fast start.
The loss of quarterback Matt Barkley figures to harm Lee's numbers in 2013, but Lee's production from a year ago was so hysterically strong that he can afford to see his numbers decline and still emerge as the top fantasy receiver in 2013. Lee's 1,721 receiving yards outpace the next closest returning receiver (Jordan Matthews) by nearly 400 yards, so new quarterback Max Wittek would really need to bomb for Lee to fall out of the top three among receivers, particularly with Robert Woods no longer stealing targets from Lee. Lee's owners also have the benefit of him playing a 13-game schedule in 2013, which is one more game than any other team.
