Brett Rypien
Boise State Broncos
2018 Fantasy Outlook
Rypien put together a solid season through the air in 2017, throwing for 2,877 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions while owning a 62.6 percent completion rate. The senior quarterback will undoubtedly be the key to the Broncos' season. Rypien also has a number of returning wideouts in Sean Modster, A.J. Richardson and CT Thomas, but he also lost top wideout Cedrick Wilson to the NFL. Boise State ran the ball nearly 38 times per game in 2017, meaning Alexander Mattison and Robert Mahone will factor heavily into the mix, although Rypien should also see plenty of opportunities to throw, as the offense attempted just over 32 passes per game a season ago. Bottled up in MWC Championship loss
QBBoise State
December 2, 2018
Rypien completed 15 of 31 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown Saturday against Fresno State. He also added six rushing yards on 12 attempts.
The senior struggled to get anything going in the air, posting his lowest completion rate of the season. It was also just the second time he failed to reach the 200-yard plateau. Even with the tough outing, Rypien still produced career-best marks in passing yards (3705) and touchdowns (30), figures he'll look to improve further in the team's upcoming bowl game.
