Not taking reps in warmups
Concussion
November 26, 2019
Bowers (concussion) isn't participating in warmups, implying he won't play Tuesday against Western Michigan, Kaleb M. Carter of the DeKalb Daily Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers will miss the regular-season finale, and since Northern Illinois enters the contest 4-7, this marks the end of Bowers' 2019 season and possibly his collegiate career. Marcus Childers is expected to start under center again, although Carter notes Anthony Thompson and Mariano Valenti could get some tread.

Bowers enters 2018 as Cal's starting quarterback. Bowers saw his first action last season, and didn't disappoint -- he completed 59.0 percent of his passes, and eclipsed the 3,000 yard mark through the air. One thing he'll look to improve on is limiting turnovers, throwing 12 picks and losing four fumbles over the course of the season.
