Jake Bentley
South Carolina Gamecocks
2018 Fantasy Outlook
Bentley showed improvement during his first full year under center for South Carolina, passing for 2,794 yards and 18 touchdowns while rushing for six scores. His ball security will be something to watch in 2018 after throwing 12 picks a season ago. Bentley will have three of his top wideouts back for the 2018 campaign, with Bryan Edwards, Deebo Samuel and Shi Smith all figuring to serve as key cogs in the offense through the air. Samuel, who missed the bulk of 2017 with a leg injury, will add a dynamic component to Bentley's arsenal. Bentley has potential for a stellar season as part of a pass-heavy system (51.91 pass play percentage, 36th in FBS). Read Past Outlooks
Set to play final season
QBSouth Carolina
January 4, 2019
Bentley will return to South Carolina and play his senior season before turning pro.
Rather than turn pro and enter what is turning out to be a very weak draft class at quarterback, Bentley will play one more year with the Gamecocks in the competitive SEC East. The Alabama native put up career numbers in his junior season, throwing for 3,171 yards and 27 touchdowns but also saw his accuracy take a dip to 61.7 percent and an increase in his interceptions. He's in line for a tough schedule in 2019 with visits from Alabama and Clemson while traveling to Georgia and Texas A&M in his final collegiate season.
