Game back on with new opponent
November 24, 2020
Bentley and the Utes will play Saturday against Washington.
ANALYSIS
Utah's game against Arizona State this upcoming Saturday was cancelled earlier Tuesday, but the Utes will now face Washington, whose own contest against Washington State was postponed for COVID-19 issues within the Cougars' program. Since both Utah and Washington were open and not dealing with COVID problems, the Pac-12 decided to have the two teams meet this weekend. They were not scheduled to meet at a later date. Bentley will make his first start of the season following Cameron Rising's season-ending injury. During his relief effort last week against USC, the Bentley completed 16 of 28 passes for 171 yards and a touchdown, but he threw two picks as well. He added four attempts on the ground for 24 yards.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2018
2019
Bentley showed improvement during his first full year under center for South Carolina, passing for 2,794 yards and 18 touchdowns while rushing for six scores. His ball security will be something to watch in 2018 after throwing 12 picks a season ago. Bentley will have three of his top wideouts back for the 2018 campaign, with Bryan Edwards, Deebo Samuel and Shi Smith all figuring to serve as key cogs in the offense through the air. Samuel, who missed the bulk of 2017 with a leg injury, will add a dynamic component to Bentley's arsenal. Bentley has potential for a stellar season as part of a pass-heavy system (51.91 pass play percentage, 36th in FBS).
Bentley decided to return for his senior season at South Carolina despite putting up career numbers in 2018. He passed for 3,171 yards and 27 touchdowns, placing him fourth in the SEC in both categories. He did lose leading receiver Deebo Samuel to the NFL, but Bryan Edwards and Shi Smith should be more than capable at wideout. The Gamecocks have an extremely difficult schedule which includes matchups with Clemson, Alabama and Georgia, though Bentley did toss five touchdowns against the defending champion Tigers last season. The schedule still won't do him any favors, but Bentley's ceiling is 3,500 yards and 30 touchdowns.
