Patrick Taylor
Running BackRB
2019 Fantasy Outlook
Memphis is replacing Darrell Henderson but won’t need to look far for its new workhorse in Taylor, who is coming off a 1,000-yard season of his own to go with 16 touchdowns. Taylor is a big back at 6-foot-3 and 223 pounds with burst that helped him rip off 10-or-more yards on 14 percent of his runs. Memphis is undergoing a scheme change of its own with offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham heading to Auburn, but Taylor will still play a major role thanks to his own merits along with the lack of proven depth behind him. Scores in final collegiate contest
December 29, 2019
Taylor rushed eight times for 50 yards and a touchdown against Penn State in Saturday's Cotton Bowl.
ANALYSIS
Taylor's senior season went much rougher than anybody expected, rushing 27 times in the season opener against Ole Miss before missing eight games with a leg injury. By the time he returned, his starting running back role had been lost to Kenny Gainwell, leaving Taylor with only 10.2 rushes per game over the final five contests. After rushing for 1,122 yards in 2018, Taylor finishes this season with a career-low 350 yards.
