Malcolm Perry
QuarterbackQB
Navy Midshipmen
2019 Fantasy Outlook
Perry had shown some promise heading into 2018 that made him an exciting prospect to run the triple-option, but that promise never materialized into anything. After running 138 times for 1,182 yards in 2017, his 2018 was a disappointment after he took 172 carries for only 1,087 yards. He's still the team's best passer, which should result in a couple passing chances per game, but he might find himself moved to a wing back in favor of somebody who can run the option a little better. As always with Navy, volume might make him a valuable asset in some weeks, but that's likely as high as his ceiling will go. Read Past Outlooks
Passes 200 rushing yards in rout
QBNavy
October 13, 2019
Perry rushed 20 times for 218 yards and three touchdowns while going 2-for-4 for nine yards through the air against Tulsa on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Tulsa had no answer for Navy's triple-option offense, allowing Perry to record his fourth-career 200 yard rushing game and first since Week 3 of last year against Lehigh. He didn't get as involved with the passing game, easily coming in below his previous season-low of 82 yards, but his rushing yards make up for it. Next week against South Florida is another chance for Perry to keep his impressive senior season rolling.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
The Midshipmen have gotten by with more powerful quarterbacks running the triple option since Keenan Reynolds left, but now the offense belongs to the speedy Perry. Though sample size is small for Perry, it's promising. He rushed for 1,182 yards and 11 TDs on just 138 carries last year and of the six games in which Perry had 10 rushing attempts, he ran for over 100 yards in five of them. The tradeoff in rostering a Navy quarterback is that you're punting on passing stats, but when the rushing production is this consistently explosive, it's worth it.
