Turning pro
January 21, 2021
Black signed with an agent Thursday and will forgo his remaining eligibility at Texas to enter the 2021 NFL Draft, Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman reports.
ANALYSIS
Black likely didn't have the season he envisioned after transferring to Texas ahead of the 2020 season, hauling in just 10 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown. He showed some promise early in his college career at Michigan, but he was plagued by injuries in recent years.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Black stood out during spring practice and has boosted himself into a lead position for boosted reps come the 2018 campaign. He displayed his ability and explosiveness early in the 2017 campaign, snagging 11 passes for 149 yards in the first three games before a broken foot robbed him of the remaining games. He surpassed some of the more highly touted freshman like Donovan Peoples-Jones early in the season and may prove to be the Maize and Blue's best all-around receiver in 2018. The receiver groups continued development and the addition of Shea Patterson from Ole Miss should lead to a more balanced Wolverines attack. Black should remain a centerpiece in that improved passing game, possessing ideal size at 6-foot-4.
