Chase Hayden
Running BackRB
Arkansas Razorbacks
2018 Fantasy Outlook
Hayden came from virtual anonymity as a freshman to quickly looking like the running back of the foreseeable future for the Hogs. He rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns in the first four games of the season in 2017. He slowed down a bit as the competition stiffened, though, and then a broken leg ended his freshman year prematurely. Hayden is supposedly healthy now, and averaged 5.3 yards per tote during that freshman season. He will vie with Devwah Whaley and T.J. Hammonds for touches out of the backfield, but it would not be surprising if he eventually carried the majority of the rushing load. Read Past Outlooks
Healthy for spring practice
RBArkansas
February 28, 2018
Hayden (lower leg) is healthy heading into spring practice, Trent Shadid of SEC Country reports.
ANALYSIS
This is big news for Arkansas' running back depth with Hayden back and healthy after suffering a season-ending lower leg injury in October. Although he was a freshman, Hayden looked like the best Arkansas running back at times, averaging 5.34 yards per carry and racking up four touchdowns on 61 carries. He should slot in as Arkansas' No.2 running back behind Devwah Whaley in all likelihood.
