Hayden is opting out for the season, Ronnie Woodward of the Daily Reflector reports.
ANALYSIS
The Arkansas transfer's time with the Pirates did not go as planned. Hayden had just 16 carries for 62 yards in three appearances. He played less than four games so theoretically he could play another year in college, but it's unclear if that's his intention.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Hayden came from virtual anonymity as a freshman to quickly looking like the running back of the foreseeable future for the Hogs. He rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns in the first four games of the season in 2017. He slowed down a bit as the competition stiffened, though, and then a broken leg ended his freshman year prematurely. Hayden is supposedly healthy now, and averaged 5.3 yards per tote during that freshman season. He will vie with Devwah Whaley and T.J. Hammonds for touches out of the backfield, but it would not be surprising if he eventually carried the majority of the rushing load.
