Declares for draft
January 3, 2020
Taylor has declared for the NFL Draft, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Taylor will likely be among some of the top running backs selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. Although he has had a fumble issue at times, including a crucial one in this year's Rose Bowl, Taylor is an explosive power runner and should draw interest from plenty of NFL teams looking for backfield help. Taylor broke Herschel Walker's record for rushing yards through a junior season back in November and exits his Wisconsin career as one of the most productive backs in the history of college football.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2019
2018
Through two seasons Taylor finds himself 103rd on the NCAA’s all-time rushing list with 4,171 yards, and if he maintains his current pace, he could vault into the top five all-time by the end of this season. Taylor is the ideal fantasy asset at running back; he has the build to take on the heaviest workload in the nation and plays in an offense that is routinely among the most run-heavy. His track speed led to seven of his 16 touchdowns come from outside the red zone, too. Taylor is the clear top fantasy running back.
Coming off a stellar freshman campaign in which he emerged from the pack to rush for 1,977 yards, breaking Adrian Peterson's freshman rushing record, Taylor enters 2018 unchallenged atop the depth chart. Taylor possesses a nice blend of power and speed, but he can struggle holding onto the football at times, losing eight fumbles last season. If he can quash those concerns and his offseason work to improve as a pass-catcher pays off, the sophomore could prove a true three-down workhorse and a trip to New York for the Heisman ceremony may be in the cards.
