2021 Fantasy Outlook
The runway is clear for Dixon to take over after three years behind Travis Etienne. Or so it seems. Dixon struggled last season, running for a career-low 190 yards on 4.5 YPC. His first two years were impressive, though, with Dixon averaging 7.1 YPC and running for 11 scores. Chez Mellusi transferred, but it remains unlikely that Dixon will take on an Etienne-level workload with Clemson having depth like Kobe Pace and five-star frosh Will Shipley. Dixon should be RB1 for an elite offense, but the Tigers project to make use of their depth more than in recent years. Read Past Outlooks
Commits to West Virginia
Not Injury Related
November 25, 2021
Dixon announced Thursday via his personal Twitter account that he'll transfer to West Virginia.
ANALYSIS
Dixon entered the transfer portal in September after he tallied 10 carries for 48 yards while hauling in two of three targets for seven yards and a touchdown across the first three games of the 2021 campaign with Clemson. Altogether, he totaled 1,420 rushing yards, 190 receiving yards and 14 total touchdowns across his three seasons with the Tigers. He should compete for a prominent role in West Virginia's offense in 2022.
