Lyn-J Dixon
Running BackRB
2021 Fantasy Outlook
The runway is clear for Dixon to take over after three years behind Travis Etienne. Or so it seems. Dixon struggled last season, running for a career-low 190 yards on 4.5 YPC. His first two years were impressive, though, with Dixon averaging 7.1 YPC and running for 11 scores. Chez Mellusi transferred, but it remains unlikely that Dixon will take on an Etienne-level workload with Clemson having depth like Kobe Pace and five-star frosh Will Shipley. Dixon should be RB1 for an elite offense, but the Tigers project to make use of their depth more than in recent years. Read Past Outlooks
Trending towards debut Saturday
September 15, 2020
Dixon (knee) will be "cut loose" Saturday against Citadel, Grace Raynor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dixon was held out as a precaution in the season opener as he continues to work his way back to 100 percent after suffering a knee sprain. With Clemson sitting on a comfortable lead much of Saturday's win over Wake Forest, playing Dixon at less-than full strength was unnecessary. Look for Dixon to get involved in Week 3.
