Has operation on finger
TEVirginia Tech
Finger
April 10, 2019
Mitchell broke his finger and needed to undergo surgery to repair it, Andy Bitter of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The surgery isn't enough to be considered a threat to his long-term playing time, but it has made the tight end questionable to play in Saturday's spring game. Mitchell has been impressing coaches during camp with his practices with expected starter Dalton Keene limited by a knee injury, but now both will have a chance to pull away from one another while out with injury. If Mitchell is out Saturday, he should have no problem returning in the fall as a full participant.
