Isaiah Bowser
Running BackRB
Northwestern Wildcats
2019 Fantasy Outlook
Bowser wore down defenses in the second half of games last season, leading the nation with 14.6 carries per game during the final 30 minutes. He churned out 521 yards and four touchdowns in his eight second-half appearances. Bowser doesn’t possess the top-end speed to break off many long runs, but he grinds and managed a respectable 4.4 yards per carry last season. Bowser figures to see a hefty workload again in 2019 after securing the clear-cut top spot midway through 2018 and could be relied upon more with Clayton Thorson out of the picture. Held to 13 carries in loss
RBNorthwestern
December 3, 2018
Bowser rushed 13 times for 60 yards with two catches on three targets for 24 yards in the Saturday loss to Ohio State.
ANALYSIS
Northwestern's starting running back was averaging 26.5 carries per game in the previous six contests prior to playing Ohio State, but with the team trailing for most Saturday they were forced away from the ground game. As a result, he was held to his lowest yard total since taking over as starter in Week 7 at Rutgers. He's set for a better game Dec. 31 against Utah at the Holiday Bowl.
