2019 Fantasy Outlook
With Ryquell Armstead leading the offense last season, Russo wasn't asked to do too much, which contributed to a run-of-the-mill fantasy season from the redshirt sophomore quarterback. But now the running back corps doesn't look nearly as lethal, which will likely cause the offense to turn to the pass a little more often. They expanded the play-calling late in the season, but he still only averaged 277.7 yards with a 61.4 completion percentage over the final seven games, and he showed ball control issues with nine interceptions. With teams not having to crowd the box against the run this season, Russo will have a tough time building on his average 2018. Read Past Outlooks

Calf
August 16, 2019
Russo (calf) remained out of practice Friday and is considered day-to-day moving forward, Marc Narducci of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
It was revealed Tuesday that Russo is battling a calf issue, but it appears the problem is relatively minor in nature. He's slated to open 2019 as the starting quarterback for the Owls despite posting just a 14:14 TD:INT ratio under center last season.
