Makes practice debut at ECU
WREast Carolina
August 14, 2019
Omotosho joined East Carolina as a graduate transfer and made his first practice appearance Wednesday, Stephen Igoe of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The UCLA transfer joins the Pirates after three uneventful seasons with the Bruins, during which he saw zero game action. There is reason for optimism here, however, as Omotosho was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and had an impressive offer sheet from other major programs before a torn ACL cost him the 2017 campaign and another injury sidelined him for 2018. He's apparently healthy now, but he'll have his work cut out for him in terms of getting up to speed with the offense in a short amount of time. Omotosho could be someone to keep on watch lists once the season starts. A redshirt junior, Omotosho will be eligible for the next two seasons.
