Kyren Williams
2021 Fantasy Outlook
Notre Dame’s backfield situation was up for grabs entering 2020 and many were hyping freshman Chris Tyree, but it was Williams who seized control of the backfield with 246 total touches. Williams peeled off 5.3 YPC behind a great O-line and caught 35 of 48 targets for 313 yards. Notre Dame has question marks elsewhere on offense, losing several offensive linemen and longtime quarterback Ian Book, so this offense could have some growing pains. Williams should be the starter and his pass catching boosts his value, but factors outside of his control could curb his efficiency. Read Past Outlooks
Continues Pacing ND Rushing Attack
September 15, 2021
Williams led Notre Dame's rushing attack again this time with 16 carries for 78 yards including a 43-yard touchdown in the 32-29 win over Toledo last Saturday in the Notre Dame home opener.
ANALYSIS
Williams also caught three passes for 25 yards. With Irish starting quarterback Jack Coan being sacked six times against Toledo, Notre Dame needs an effective running game. It's hard to tell if Williams will get more room to roam in the next game on Saturday, Sept. 18 against Purdue. The Boilermakers have allowed 101 rushing yards per game, but one of those games was against the University of Connecticut who has been shutout twice and scored only 28 points this season in three games.
