Leaving Baylor early
January 13, 2020
Lynch announced Monday via his personal Twitter account that he will forgo his senior season at Baylor and enter the 2020 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
Aside from head coach Matt Rhule leaving the Bears for the NFL's Carolina Panthers, Lynch, the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, represents the most significant defection for Baylor following its 11-3 season. The star defensive lineman likely shapes up as a late-first-round talent or early Day 2 pick in the draft after finishing 2019 with 41 tackles (23 solo), 19.5 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks.
