Commits to West Virginia
July 21, 2021
Middleton announced Wednesday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to West Virginia, joining the program as a graduate transfer from Tennessee.
ANALYSIS
A number of top programs were pursuing Middleton after he entered the transfer portal in late June, and after about three weeks of weighing his options, the 6-foot-7, 305-pound defensive tackle has opted to continue his career in the Big 12. Middleton, who recorded 43 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and two sacks in two seasons with Tennessee, will be able to compete right away for the Mountaineers for his final year of eligibility.
