A graduate transfer, Riccitelli will be eligible to compete immediately at Rice for his final season of college football. He saw sparse work behind Jet Toner at Stanford, converting on his lone field-goal attempt and drilling eight of 10 extra-point tries in 2019 but receiving no other kicking chances in his prior three seasons at Stanford. He'll be the favorite to serve as the starting kicker for Rice, which struggled to find much consistency at the position in 2019.
